New tags!

The Madelyn Hat tags arrived today!  Each Hat or Shopping Cart Handle Cover donated or purchased for a loved one will sport one of these lovely tags!  I think Madie would have liked the print for sure!  The color teal is used for Ovarian Cancer Awareness.
I am thankful for the people who have asked me to make hats for their friends!  It makes me feel like my step-mom is still here!

This is my dear friend Jennifer and her Madelyn Hat!  You can make a cuff to cover less of the ears or wear it with out the cuff, like Jen.  Poor Jen received the very first Madelyn Hat, which I goofed on and didn't realize it until recently.  So, she'll have a new one soon!  :)  Thanks Jen for being my beautiful model!

First Shipment is going out tomorrow!

Tomorrow is January 11, my step-mom's birthday.  I am mailing out the first shipment of Madelyn Hats to St. John's Medical Center in Jackson Hole Wyoming.  I am including a few shopping cart handle covers and tissue holders as well.

If you have a suggestion for the destination of the second shipment, please leave a comment or email me at KeepEmCleanCovers@hotmail.com.

An ending brings a beginning...

On December 31, my step mom lost her 4 1/2 year battle with Ovarian Cancer. She and I shared a love for sewing. She was sewing her whole life, I've been sewing about 4 years.
She was an amazing woman and handled her life on chemo with what can only be described as "God Given Grace". She was almost always positive, even through the worst and lived her life to the fullest. Because of her faith, she died knowing she would live forever.
It is in her memory that I am using her chemo hat pattern and making hats for other people fighting this terrible disease. Please bare with me, I am still learning. I do hope that each person receiving a Madelyn hat, knows that it was sewn with great love and prayers for a cure!
